Message To Awdal People (Conference in Minesota) By: Dr Mohamed-Rashid

I am, as you must fully aware the Vice Presidential for UCID in the upcoming elections of Somaliland I am also a proud Awdalite. I am addressing this message to the participants of this meeting and to the people of Awdal wherever they live inside and outside Somaliland. I hope the outcome of this meeting reflects the following:

1. Support and stand on the side of the People, on the side of Justice, on the side of Democracy

2. Support a free Peaceful and fully Democratic Election of Somaliland

3. Encourage all the Political Parties to abide by the results of that election who ever the Winner is

4. Support the peaceful coexistence of all Clans of Somaliland and in connection with the resolutions reached at the Borame Conference in 1993.

5. Give full support and allegiance to the cause of Somaliland and to its independence.

6. Provide positive contribution to the development of Somaliland and pursue its Recognition.

7. Encourage Unity and harmony among Awdal people and the people of Somaliland.
